Organizations need to adopt organizational project management (OPM) as a way to ensure the achievement of their strategy. OPM becomes part of the organizational culture and a way of doing business; it affects the core of the business. It is a repeatable process that will help to ensure success and growth. There is no one way to run a project, but OPM will lead to standardization that allows for solid metrics. Contrary to popular belief, it does not dictate one methodology, but rather a methodology or methodologies that are geared toward the success of that type of project.
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to: 1) Understand how to realize the benefits of OPM. 2) See how changing to a project culture will help achieve strategic results. 3) Learn how to develop, choose, and implement the right methodology.
